OnePlus 3T Rumored To Sport Sony IMX398 Camera Sensor

Apart from the rumors that the OnePlus 3T supposedly exists, not much else is known about the handset. We have heard that it will pack a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, but other than that it’s really a mystery. However according to a recent rumor, one of the new features of the upcoming handset would be its camera.

If the rumor is to be believed, the OnePlus 3T is expected to feature a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor. This is the same sensor found in the Oppo R9s and R9s Plus, and given how much Oppo has been boasting about its camera prowess, we guess it could be a feature worth looking forward to.

Of course cameras are more than just its sensors, such as its algorithm and processing tools, but we guess we’ll have to wait and see for ourselves. The latest rumor also “confirms” that the phone will feature the Snapdragon 821 and 6GB of RAM, the latter of which was also present in the OnePlus 3 so we guess it’s no surprise that it will be sticking around.

That being said, a recent tweet by famed leakster Evan Blass has also revealed that the OnePlus 3T could be priced $80 more than its predecessor, but in any case do take all of this with a grain of salt, but hopefully we’ll hear the official details from the company soon.
