Last week it was reported that Nintendo would not be revealing any additional information about the Nintendo Switch console until 2017, which kind of begged the question as to why reveal it so early if you’re not going to say anything, right? Perhaps it might have to do with the company’s financial earnings, or maybe they just wanted some feedback and more time to make adjustments.
Either way we’ll have to wait until next year to find out the details, but the question is, when in 2017? For those wondering, Nintendo has since announced the official Nintendo Switch presentation will be taking place on the 12th of January, 2017 in Tokyo, Japan. Presumably this is where Nintendo will answer all our burning questions such as what games will it support, what kind of hardware is it packing under the hood, how much will it cost, and so on.
Now you might think you have figured out which games will be playable on the Switch based on the preview trailer which showed off titles like Zelda, Mario, Skyrim, and Splatoon, just to name a few. However Nintendo had previously told gamers that they should not base their assumptions on the trailer as it is not representative of actual game footage.
We know it does seem odd and almost like false advertising if they were to market games that they weren’t planning on including, but either way come January 12, 2017, all should be revealed in time for the console’s release in March.
