A couple of months ago, Instagram announced Stories, a new feature that many have likened to Snapchat’s own Stories feature. Now Instagram is all about discovery which is why in August, they announced that they were planning on introducing Stories to its Explore tab where you could discover Stories by other Instagram users.The good news is that if you do love Instagram’s Explore feature, you’ll be pleased to learn that they have announced that Stories is now rolling out to the Explore tab. “More than 100 million people visit Explore every day to discover photos and videos from people they don’t yet follow. The new suggested stories section highlights the most interesting stories from across Instagram’s vast global community — and like the rest of Explore, the stories you’ll see are personalized to your interests.”
This also means that if you have a public account, your stories could end up in the Explore tab where other Instagram users can then discover your account. So far Stories by Instagram have been pretty well-received. In fact some seem to suggest that this is what Snapchat should have done, but then again they are both very different platforms to begin with it. In any case the feature should already be live so fire up Instagram and start exploring!
