Huawei is expected to launch a new flagship smartphone in the coming weeks. We have already heard a lot of rumors and reports about the Huawei Mate 9. Today we’ve been treated to a leaked render of the handset which suggests that the company is going to release flat and curved models of the Huawei Mate 9. I don’t know about you but I think the curved model looks very similar to the Galaxy Note 7.
The render comes from infamous Twitter leaker @evleaks who has a strong track record with this stuff. The accompanying report claims that only one of these two models will be released in the United States and across the globe.
The flat display model is said to feature a full HD display and that’s the model which Huawei is reportedly going to release in the United States. The dual-edge curved display on the second variant is said to boast Quad HD resolution and it may only be released in China. It’s also said to feature support for Google’s Daydream virtual reality platform.
The Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be powered by a Kirin 960 octacore processor with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It may feature a Leica dual-camera system with 20 megapixel resolution and wider f/2.0 aperture. Recent rumors suggest that it could feature an iris scanner as well.
Huawei is holding an event in Munich on November 3rd where it’s likely going to unveil the Mate 9.
