Since passing through the FCC is a requirement for device that want to be sold in the US, it is safe to assume that HTC is done working on the phone already. It could be that they are gearing up to launch the device, but whether or not we will be getting an official event or if it will be a quiet launch remains to be seen, but we’re guessing that it will probably be the latter.
So far there have been quite a few rumors regarding the phone’s specs, such as how how it might not come with a headphone jack, a rather controversial “feature” that OEMs seem to be adopting these days. Recent reports are also a bit conflicting with some suggesting at 5.5-inch Full HD display, while others claim a 5.5-inch WQHD display.
There are also rumors that the HTC Bolt could be using last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset which while considered “old” in the tech scene, especially with the Snapdragon 820 and 821 in play, should still be more than capable of getting the job done.
