The rumor comes from developer @LlabTooFeR who claims that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chipset of 2015. Now to be fair, the Snapdragon 810 is still a relatively powerful processor, but obviously when compared to this year’s Snapdragon 820 and the 821 found in the Google Pixel phones, it does seem like “old” technology.
The rumor also claims that it will feature a 5.5-inch WQHD display, which interestingly enough goes against an earlier rumor that suggested that we could be looking at a Full HD display instead, so we’re really not sure what to expect. Both rumors come from pretty reliable sources so we’re not sure who has it right this time.
Other rumored specs include 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a camera with phase-detection autofocus of the 18MP variety, an 8MP front-facing camera, a fingerprint sensor, and it is also expected to feature BoomSound audio technology (not the speakers). Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll get the official information soon.
