Several PlayStation 4 exclusive titles were supposed to be released this year but most of them have been delayed. It’s the same case with Gravity Rush 2. It has been confirmed via a post on the official PlayStation blog that the Gravity Rush 2 release has been delayed. This title was originally supposed to be released on December 2nd this year. Fortunately, the release has only been pushed back by over a month so those who have been waiting for this title won’t have to wait for too long next year.
Game Director Keiichiro Toyama apologized to those who have been waiting for this game, adding that after four years of developing a game that the team is very proud of, they want to release it “at the very best time.”
Toyama mentioned that production on this title is proceeding smoothly but after careful deliberation the team has decided to delay the release. Gravity Rush 2 is now going to be released on January 20th, 2017.
In exchange for making fans wait longer, they have decided to release the premium DLC for this title absolutely free of charge. All players will receive the premium DLC after the game is out. The additional story takes place in the world of Gravity Rush 2 and Toyama promises that fans will have a lot of fun playing it.
