Goldman Sachs Is Using Spotify To Recruit Millennials

goldman-spotifyBack in the day, looking for a job involved either going to the company’s offices and speaking to someone directly, or looking through the wanted ads in the newspapers. However with computers and the internet, job listings could be discovered online and resumes sent in digitally, and now it seems that investment bank Goldman Sachs is turning to the use of Spotify for recruitment.

In a bid to try and capture the attention of millennials, it seems that the bank has turned to more popular mediums amongst the youth these days to try and recruit them. Of course there are no shortages of applicants to the bank, but according to Amanda Rubin, global co-head of the company’s brand and content strategy, she told Bloomberg, “We’re trying to be valuable and help young people understand Goldman.”

This isn’t the first time that that bank has turned to more modern methods of recruitment. Prior to this, the bank had also used platforms such as Snapchat to help boost its campus recruitment efforts. The bank is also doing away with some of its older methods of recruiting on campus, such as in-person first-round interviews. Instead they will allow students to interview via a pre-recorded video platform called HireVue.
