With all negative attention that Samsung is receiving about the Galaxy Note 7, we’re sure that the company is eager to try and rid the incident from the minds of its customers ASAP, and one of those ways is apparently by launching an awesome phone in the form of the Galaxy S8. Or at least that’s what the rumors are saying.
In the latest Galaxy S8 rumors to come out of South Korea, they are claiming that the Galaxy S8 is expected to feature some pretty major hardware changes. One of the rumored changes is apparently to the home button, which will apparently be removed. The home button has been pretty much a default feature on the majority of Samsung’s handsets, so for them to remove it would be quite a change.
As for the fingerprint sensor, it is rumored that it will now be embedded into the display of the phone itself, which other OEMs such as Xiaomi have recently done. Samsung is also said to include a dual lens camera setup with the Galaxy S8, a first for the company. The report says that this decision has been finalized, and now Samsung is trying to decide if they should go with two separate cameras, or a single unit with a dual lens setup.
It certainly sounds like the Galaxy S8 is shaping up to be a rather interesting device, and hopefully it will be good enough for Samsung to regain the trust and reputation that they have worked so hard to achieve.
