We have been hearing for a while now that HTC is working on a smartwatch as well and now some images have been leaked online which claim to show us a glimpse of the company’s first Android Wear watch. It’s actually one of the largest remaining Android OEMs that hasn’t come out with a smartwatch yet, we’ve already seen one from the likes of Sony, LG, Huawei, Motorola, Samsung, and ASUS. The first HTC Android Wear smartwatch is reportedly codenamed “Halfbeak.”
Images of HTC’s first Android Wear smartwatch have been leaked out of China which is why they were first posted on Weibo, which is China’s equivalent of Twitter. At first glance, it appears to be quite similar to many other circular smartwatches that are already out there.
The smartwatch features a round 360×360 pixel resolution display with small bezels. We can also see a heart rate sensor at the back which is adorned by HTC and Under Armour logos suggesting that it might offer good fitness features. Two physical buttons for navigation can be found on one side of the smartwatch.
HTC is yet to officially confirm this smartwatch so we don’t really know more about its specifications and features at this point in time. It’s unclear when this smartwatch will be out and how much it’s going to cost.
