There has been a bit of polarizing opinions regarding Google’s new Pixel phones. Some have decried it as it seems to be going against what the Nexus phones used to stand for, which was a stock Android experience, but Google seems to have decided to include some Pixel-exclusive features instead.
Other claim that it is a good move by Google that would allow them to better compete in the market. Regardless of whether you like it or hate it, it seems that the market has spoken because as noted by 9to5Google, it seems that the first batch of Google Pixel phones in pretty much every configuration has been sold out.
The smaller Pixel phones now have an estimated shipping date of 23-25 November which is more than a month’s wait, and as for the larger Pixel XL, there is no estimated date and customers are simply put on the waiting list if they are interested. We expect that Google will try to replenish their stock ASAP ahead of the holiday season, so if you do want the phones by then, you’ll have to hurry.
It should be noted that Google’s Nexus phones prior to this also sold pretty well so we guess there aren’t any surprises here, although given the price of the Pixel and Pixel XL handsets, we guess Google doesn’t really have to worry about customers staying away from them as far as pricing is concerned.
