If you are a Harry Potter fan, there’s a good chance you’re probably eagerly looking forward to the Harry Potter spinoff movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The movie is set for a release in November and last we heard, it was expected to be a trio of films, but the good news is that things have changed.
At a Warner Bros. fan event in London, Harry Potter’s author JK Rowling revealed that the movie will now be part of a five-film franchise. This means in addition to the upcoming movie, fans can look forward to at least four more movies based around the Harry Potter universe, something that we’re sure fans are excited about.
According to Rowling, “I’m pretty sure that there are going to be five movies, now that I’ve been able to properly plot them out. We always knew that there would be more than one.” Now to be fair we haven’t seen the first movie so it’s hard to say if it will be good enough where we’ll want to endure another four more, but if you still can’t get enough of the Harry Potter universe, this is one way to go about it.
The original trilogy was set to conclude in 2020, but if there is going to be five movies, fans can look forward to more Harry Potter-related content in the years to come.
