The Amazon Echo is both a speaker and a smart assistant built into the same device. However Amazon has since opened up Alexa to third-parties which has resulted in devices like the CoWatch, a smartwatch that comes with Alexa’s capabilities built into it. However if you’re after a speaker that isn’t the Echo, you’re in luck.
The Fabriq speaker has recently been launched and what helps it set itself apart from the competition is the fact that it is the first non-Amazon, Alexa-powered speaker in the market today. This means that if you’re looking for alternatives to the Echo in terms of design, specs, and features, the Fabriq is one of those alternatives available right now.
According to the company, the Fabriq will feature a frequency range of 60Hz to 18kHz, and is powered by a built-in 5-watt amplifier. The company is also claiming that the battery will let users enjoy music for up to five hours of playback time. It will also support both Bluetooth and WiFi and can also be paired with other Fabriq speakers if you want a louder sound or multiroom support.
It will also come with Alexa built into it which means that whatever Alexa can do on the Echo, it can do on the Fabriq, and as Alexa improves with new features over time, your speaker’s functionality will too as well. Priced at $50, the Fabriq speakers are available for purchase via Amazon.
