If you didn’t have enough free time on your hands this weekend to check out the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta, you’re going to thank your lucky stars for this. It has now been confirmed that the multiplayer beta has been extended by 24 hours. Players can keep on putting the game through its paces until 10am PT on October 18th. The beta was originally supposed to end today but Infinity Ward has confirmed that it’s going to give everyone an extra day.
A new map and game mode were added on the second day of the beta when the developer took note of the “massive numbers of people piling into the beta.” Aside from confirming the extension, Infinity Ward says that it has also added the Gun Game mode to Infinite Warfare.
The first Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta weekend is exclusively open to PlayStation 4 owners. The second beta will be live next weekend for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Only players who have already pre-ordered Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare can access the multiplayer beta, however, each pre-order invite does come with quite a few buddy codes.
Infinity Ward has confirmed that all of the progress that players have made in the beta so far will be carried over to the second beta test next weekend. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is going to be released for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC on November 4th.
