Battlefield 1 developer DICE confirmed even before the game was launched that the first DLC for the game is going to bring the French army. It has now been revealed that the Russians will be joining the French as post-launch factions for Battlefield 1. Players will thus have countless options to play the game as since Battlefield 1 already has more factions than any other game in this series.
The confirmation comes via the Premium Pass page for Battlefield 1 which has been recently updated to reflect that the Russian Empire will be part of the game’s season pass. The pass brings new multiplayer maps, armies, and more. A total of four DLC packs will be released for Battlefield 1 in the coming months with the first titled They Shall Not Pass due in March next year.
Battlefield 1 Premium Pass customers get two week early access to each DLC expansion pack which will bring over a dozen new multiplayer maps combined, new Operations and game modes, new elite classes, dozens of new weapons and vehicles, and much more. New armies in the upcoming expansion pack include France and the Russian Empire.
Those who are interested in picking it up can go over to the dedicated Battlefield 1 Premium Pass page and find out more information about it.
