Apple has already confirmed that it’s going to conduct an event later this week but it hasn’t revealed what new products will be announced on October 27. Rumors and reports suggest that the company is going to show off some new MacBooks and that really does appear to be the case as the company has registered trademarks for three new MacBooks in Russia. The trademark filings published today reveal that the company is preparing three new MacBooks that will be powered by macOS Sierra out of the box.
According to reports, the new hardware has been identified by model numbers A1706, A1707, and A1708 in the trademark filings. The company doesn’t reveal any additional details about these notebooks aside from mentioning that the trademarks have been filed for “portable personal computers.”
Reports suggest that Apple is going to show off a basic 13 inch MacBook later this week aside from new 13 and 15 inch MacBook Pro models. The company is expected to properly revamp the MacBook Pro lineup this time around with the latest processors from Intel, USB Type-C ports, Thunderbolt 3, and an OLED touch bar with a fingerprint sensor.
Nothing can obviously be said for sure about these notebooks until Apple makes an official announcement, fortunately, October 27 isn’t that far off now.
