Due to the fact that we’re talking about money and the security of credit cards, it is possible that could be the reason why mobile payment systems aren’t taking off quite as quickly as many would like. Not to mention companies would have to partner up with banks and retailers to ensure compatibility.
The good news is that if you are living in Germany, it seems that there is a good chance that Apple Pay could be making its way to your country in the near future. This is according to Apple’s website in which Germany was highlighted as one of the markets that Apple Pay is available. However it should be noted that Apple’s website has since been updated and Apple Pay’s availability in Germany has been removed.
However we can only assume that based on this, Apple Pay could be eventually announced for the market, and that the image went up ahead of an official announcement. We have no idea when the announcement will take place, but hopefully it will be soon. Apple is hosting an event on the 27th of October to announce their new Macs, but it is possible that Apple Pay’s expansion into other markets could also be announced then, so do check back with us next week for the details.
