A few days ago we reported that Samsung could have a new high-end Chromebook in the works codename “Kevin”. The device is said to feature a relatively high resolution display that is touchscreen capable and also stylus support, which would be rather interesting as most Chromebooks tend to come across feeling more like laptops.
However it seems that “Kevin” might not be the only high-end Chromebook in the works by Samsung. According to a new report, Samsung has another Chromebook in development codename “Caroline”. While this Chromebook is said to also feature stylus support, one of the key differences is the fact that it will be powered by an Intel Skylake processor.
This is versus Kevin which was revealed to be powered by an ARM processor. Unfortunately apart from the stylus support and the possibility of an Intel Skylake processor, not much else is known about the Caroline Chromebook. It is possible that the laptop is still in development and not yet ready for primetime, hence the lack of details about the device, or it could simply be that, a rumor and nothing more.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but if you are shopping about for a Chromebook, Samsung’s Chromebook Pro and “Caroline” could be worth waiting for.
