Dubbed the Xiaoyi M1, you might be wondering at a glance if maybe we got the pictures mixed up with a Leica, but nope, that is the M1 camera and yes, we do know that it does bear some similarities to Leica’s cameras, something which we imagine the company can’t be too thrilled to find out.
As for specs, we’re looking at a 20MP sensor, a maximum ISO of 25,600, 4K video recording at 30fps, a 3-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, and the best part is that it will only cost $330 with a bundled 12-40mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. Alternatively there is also a $450 option with a 42.5mm f/1.8 lens.
We can’t really speak to its performance and will probably need to see sample photos to get an idea, but for the most part it sounds pretty standard, but then again at those prices, chances are Xiaomi is probably not targeting the professional crowd.
