Titanfall is headed to mobile as a card game. It has been confirmed today that Titanfall: Frontline will be a free-to-play card game for mobile devices powered by iOS and Android. Frontline is described as a strategy card game where players take on the role of brigade commanders and face other players in real-time head-to-head combat. The experience sounds a bit familiar like other digital card games like Hearthstone but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
A new studio called Particle City is developing Titanfall: Frontline while it’s going to be published by Nexon which previously worked with Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment to release a free-to-play PC version of this game in Asia.
“Not only does Titanfall: Frontline capture an experience that feels distinctly Titanfall,” Respawn CEO Vince Zampella says, adding that “it delivers quick and strategic action that anyone with a smartphone will be able to download and enjoy.”
No further details about the new mobile title have been provided as yet but we can be sure to hear more in the months to come. It has been said today that Titanfall: Frontline is going to be released for iOS and Android later this year.
What Titanfall fans are more concerned with currently is the next title in this franchise which is also going to be released for PlayStation 4. Titanfall 2 is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th. Unlike other EA-published titles, there will be no early access for EA Access members.
