According to MacRumors, one of their readers actually took it upon themselves to email Apple’s CEO Tim Cook to ask him what’s up with their Mac line, and if they were “pulling away” from it. Now we know for a fact that from time to time, Apple execs do reply emails sent to them by customers, and assuming that this email is legit, Cook replied by saying, “I love the Mac and we are very committed to it. Stay tuned.”
Now we can’t be sure what this means. It is possible (and entirely expected) that Cook would want to reassure customers that the Mac lineup isn’t going anywhere. Alternatively if we wanted to read more into it, it almost sounds like Apple has some exciting Macs in the works that they will be unveiling at a later date.
In any case Apple has probably one more major event that they will be hosting before the end of 2016, which in the past has typically been reserved for the iPads and in some instances, Macs, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out what Apple might have up their sleeves.
