Sling TV, a popular online TV streaming service owned and operated by Dish, today announced the release of its Windows 10 application. It has also launched a new Pac-12, STARZ add-on pack for subscribers who want to have more content and are willing to pay for it. The much awaited Sling TV Windows 10 app has finally been released as well, it will be available for all PCs and tablets that run on this operating system.
Sling TV for Windows 10 features support for Live Tiles which enables users to see content updates from selected Favorites and Continue Watching ribbon when they have the app pinned to their start menu.
The app also comes with Cortana voice integration enabling easy and quick searching of specific shows or channels by using voice commands like “Watch CNN on Sling.” Sling TV for Windows 10 is optimized for both touch and non-touch devices so it won’t feel out of place regardless of what PC you have.
Pac-12 Networks regional feeds will now be available in Sling Orange Sports Extra and Sling Blue Sports Extra packs for an additional $5 and $10 per month respectively without regional restrictions.
STARZ and STARZ Encore are joining Sling TV’s available add-on packs at $9 per month for Sling Orange and Sling Blue subscribers. All users will get a free 7-day preview with access to the TV premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This add-on pack also brings more than 3,000 on-demand titles to Sling TV’s movie and TV show library.
