Announced on the Skype Blog, “Additionally, because Skype takes advantage of CallKit within iOS 10, incoming Skype calls will now show up just like regular calls. This will make it easy to switch between or answer Skype and regular calls using the built-in iOS functionality you are already used to.”
This feature is only available for regular Skype users, but the company states that they will be expanding it to Skype for Business in October. “Starting in October, we’re also extending this CallKit functionality to our Skype for Business iOS apps, giving business users the same great calling experience.”
The update will also bring about other features such as integrated contact information, support for Siri (you can use Siri to make Skype calls), and more. If you haven’t updated your Skype app on your iOS device yet, it should be live so hit up the iTunes App Store for the download.
