In case you did not know, Milk Music was kind of Samsung’s answer to music streaming, although in reality it was more similar to other streaming services such as Pandora, versus on-demand services like Spotify, Tidal, or Apple Music. As it stands, Samsung is referring existing users to Slacker Radio where they can get a free 14-day trial to Slacker Plus, after which it will be priced at $3.99 a month.
It should be noted that Milk Music continues to operate in the likes of China and Korea, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the service were to eventually shutter in those markets as well. It is unclear as to what Samsung has planned next, such as will they be launching an on-demand service to compete with Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music, but we suppose that remains to be seen. In the meantime will any of you guys miss the Milk Music streaming service?
