During E3 2016, the folks at Capcom officially took the wraps off Resident Evil 7. The game was a long time coming and from what we can tell, it looks like it could be worth the wait as Capcom has certainly gone back to its horror roots because from the gameplay footage and trailer, it does look pretty scary.
The good news is that the horror-levels could be taken up a notch because in an announcement on the Resident Evil Twitter page, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 7 will support the PS4 Pro, which also means that gamers can look forward to 4K graphics as well as HDR graphics, meaning that the zombies in the game will look scarier than ever.
However some have asked what this means, as to whether the game will feature native 4K resolution, as in Capcom developed a version of the game specifically to take advantage of the PS4 Pro, or if it will be upscaled by Sony’s Checkerboard Rendering technique, but either way it does sound like something gamers can look forward to.
The PS4 Pro was officially announced about a week ago. It is due for a release on the 10th of November, 2016. As for Capcom’s Resident Evil 7, the game will be seeing a release on the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC come 24th of January, 2017.
