Razer recently launched a great new gaming mouse for PC gamers and today it has launched new headsets aimed at them. The revamped Kraken V2 series features custom-tuned drivers, a unibody aluminum frame as well as improved comfort. Razer says that headsets are great for eSports players. The new Razer Kraken Pro V2 and Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 have 50mm custom-tuned drivers to provide balance between in-game audio and team communications.
The two custom-tuned 50mm drivers are an integral part of these new headsets from Razer. They are larger than the ones found in previous Kraken headsets and deliver a wider frequency range to provide that aforementioned balance. The Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 also has an advanced 7.1 virtual surround sound engine which enables complete customization so that gamers can even pinpoint positional audio specific to an individual player.
These headsets are fashioned out of an all-new unibody aluminum frame that’s durable and flexible. The frame has been tested extensively to withstand drops, bending out of shape, rough handling, and more. Razer says that all these tests have helped create headsets that are suited to the rigors of professional gaming.
Razer’s new headsets feature larger, softer ear cushions that provide better sound isolation. The cushions are interchangeable and give users the choice to opt between circular or oval shaped designs which are sold separately.
The Razer Kraken Pro V2 analog 3.5 mm gaming headset is available for pre-order today for $79.99 and ships next month. Interested customers can register their interest with Razer for the Kraken 7.1 V2 digital USB gaming headset which costs $99.99 right now and also ships next month.
