According to the listing, it has more or less been confirmed that the phone will be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM, but other than that we’re not sure what else we can expect. It also appears to be running on Android NMR1 which is pretty much Android 7.0 Nougat, but then again that’s kind of to be expected.
This isn’t the first time the Marlin has been spotted on benchmarks, so like we said, the specs don’t really come as a surprise. Not to mention flagship handsets these days tend of pack Snapdragon 820 chipsets with 4GB of RAM as a standard, so once again even if there were no leaks, we would have expected those specs at the very least.
Interestingly enough this year’s phones from Google might not be known as Nexus handsets. The rumors are claiming that Google will instead use the Pixel branding that they have used for their tablets and Chromebooks, which we guess makes sense. The rumors are also claiming that these phones will be launched on the 4th of October.
