So we have been hearing about the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones for a while now, and in the past we have even been treated to renderings of the handset based on insider information. However if you wanted a better idea of what the phones will look like in real life, you’re in luck as the folks at Android Police have posted what appears to be the actual phones.
As you can see in the photo above, it certainly looks like the renders we’ve seen previously. There is that separation in material type in the upper half of the phone versus the lower half, and there is also what appears to be a fingerprint scanner. We are also looking at the camera, the flash unit, and the bottom half of the phone has been understandably blurred out due to markings that could identify the leaker.
Other than that, the rest of the phone’s design is pretty standard. In fact it is rather reminiscent of HTC’s designs, which shouldn’t be surprising considering that HTC is supposed to be the one behind both handsets. We expect Google will officially confirm and announce both handsets come 4th of October, as per the rumors, so do check back with us in the coming weeks to see if Google has confirmed the event with an invite.
