In the debate of PC gaming versus console gaming, graphics/performance is usually one of the arguments put forth, where PC gamers will say that because they are in control of their hardware, they can usually squeeze out the best performance from a game, versus consoles where the hardware is already set and chosen, meaning that devs have to design around it.
This means that sometimes depending on the console, some games will need to compromise where they might sacrifice resolution for framerates and vice versa. That being said if you are looking forward to playing Titanfall 2 on the PC and you’re looking for the best performance possible, the folks at Respawn have since published the list of system requirements on its website where the hardware required for 4K gaming has been revealed.
If gaming in 4K at 60fps is something you’re trying to achieve, Respawn is recommending an Intel Core i7-6700k or equivalent processor with 16GB of RAM, 45GB of free hard drive space, and an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080 8GB. Putting aside the cost of the processor, the GPU itself would be prohibitively expensive for the regular gamer.
If that’s a bit out of reach for you, the minimum specs require an Intel Core i3-3600t or equivalent with 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB. According to Respawn, this should be able to allow you to play in 1600×900 resolution at 60fps which is still pretty decent.
For recommended, we’re looking at an Intel Core i5-6600 or equivalent, 16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB, all of which should allow a 1920×1080 resolution at an average of 60fps, although Respawn believes you should also be able to hit 2560×1440, but chances are your framerates will be taking a hit.
