We know that Samsung will resume sales in South Korea tomorrow, but for customers in Europe, it seems that you guys have a bit of waiting to do. According to Samsung, customers in Europe can only expect Note 7 sales to resume on the 28th of October, and this is also “subject to a full completion of the exchange program.”
It sounds like if Samsung does not complete the exchange program in time, sales might not resume until they do, but hopefully that isn’t the case. Sales in the US have yet to be confirmed, but last we heard it could be on the 21st of October. However it has been discovered that several carriers have already started to sell the phone.
Samsung’s recall and replacement program seems to be moving along nicely, but there have been a smattering of reports that the replacement units are encountering issues of their own. Just recently in China a new Note 7 was reported to have caught on fire, but hopefully these are isolated incidents and aren’t representative of the replacement batteries.
