Now it seems that the developers are facing another problem: false advertising, or at least that’s what the Advertising Standards Authority are claiming. Apparently the ASA have received several complaints from gamers about the game’s advertising, in which the advertising was boasting enhanced graphics, large-scale combat, in-game behavioral models, and more, none of which made it to the game.
The complaints claim that the advertising has misrepresented what the game truly has to offer, and it doesn’t portray the reality of it once gamers have forked over $60. Like we said, the game has been one of the most anticipated indie titles of the year, but it definitely wasn’t the epic journey that many had thought it was based on screenshots and videos.
At this point in time, the developers have declined to comment on the on-going investigation, so it is unclear as to how they plan on responding to these claims, or if the investigation will find that they have indeed misled gamers, but what do you guys think?
