For those who have no use for a fragile smartwatch and want something that they can use in rougher environments, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Nixon Mission is now available for pre-order where it will be priced at $400 and is expected to be available and shipping out to customers come 10th of October.
In case you missed our report from earlier this year, here’s a quick rundown on its specs and features. The Nixon Mission is a smartwatch powered by Android Wear. It features a stainless steel and polycarbonate body and is waterproof up to 10ATM. It also has a shock-resistant body and like Casio’s G-Shock watches, it has a raised bezel that should help protect the display from damage (unless you were to hit the screen directly).
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and a host of sensors such as GPS, a thermometer, altimeter, barometer, e-company, a gyrometer, and accelerometer, and humidity sensors. If this sounds like a smartwatch you’d love to own, hit up Nixon’s website to pre-order the device.
