Now thanks to a report from The Wall Street Journal, it seems that we might not have to wait too long. According to the report, it cites analysts who believe that Nintendo will officially share the details of the NX by early October. Given that we’re in early September right now, this means that we only have to wait for about a month for the details, assuming the analysts are right with their predictions.
Last we heard, Nintendo was planning on releasing the console in March 2017, meaning that from now until then, the company definitely needs to announce the console in all of its entirety, and with October still within the fall season, we guess an early October reveal wouldn’t really be entirely out of the question.
So far what we know about the NX is that it seems to be more of a handheld gaming console, as opposed to consoles like the Wii U, PS4, or Xbox One. However the rumors are claiming that there will be options to dock the console so gamers have the option of playing it in a more traditional manner if they choose. There are also rumors that Nintendo will return to the use of cartridges instead of discs with the NX.
