Nest Cam Outdoor Is Now Available In The US

Back in July, Nest announced the Nest Cam Outdoor, which for those unfamiliar is basically the Nest Indoor Cam, except that it has been designed for outdoor use due to its weatherproof nature. The camera was scheduled for a release this fall and sure enough it looks like Nest has managed to stick to their schedule as the camera is now available for purchase.

For those who are interested in picking up the Nest Cam Outdoor, you can get your hands on one by hitting up Nest’s website where it is priced at $200. However it should be noted that customers who want to store the video history of what the camera records in the cloud will need an active subscription to Nest Aware.

If you just want a 10-day history, the subscription comes at $100 a year, while the 30-day history will cost customers $300 a year, and this is on top of the price of the camera, meaning that a Nest Cam Outdoor with a 30-day history subscription will set customers back a whopping $500 upfront. Alternatively the camera is available by itself for $200, but that means that it essentially acts as a live streaming camera.
