When Activision announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, they also announced that the game would be launching with just 10 maps. Given how beautiful the game looks like in all of its remastered glory, we’re guessing that more than one gamer was disappointed by the seemingly lack of variety in maps.
However the good news is that Activision might have had a change of mind. According to recent reports, it turns out that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will now be launching with 16 maps instead, versus the 10 that were originally announced. This means 6 more maps that players will be able to look forward to.
These 16 maps are also the ones that have been featured in the previous release of the game, so none of them will be new per se, but they should be pretty familiar to gamers who might have played the original version of the game. However we should note that the game will be launched with the original 10 maps.
The additional 6 maps will be made available for download in December, so until then gamers will just have to make do with what they’ve got. In the meantime Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not be available on previous generation consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360.
