It has been a while since Microsoft launched new Surface-branded hardware and if a report is believed, it may be coming out with a new device in the near future. Where there have already been a lot of rumors about a new Surface tablet, laptop and even an all-in-one PC, the latest report suggests that Microsoft has a Surface-branded Bluetooth keyboard in the pipeline.
Microsoft is no stranger to making keyboards. Its ergonomic keyboards have long been appreciated by customers across the globe so if the coming is going to launch a new one in the near future, why shouldn’t it be branded under the Surface umbrella, after all, Microsoft is consolidating its hardware efforts under this brand.
There’s not a lot of information available about this Surface-branded keyboard as yet. A listing has been spotted at the Bluetooth Special Interest Group which suggests that this is going to be a Bluetooth keyboard. Other than that, there’s no information available currently about this keyboard.
Just because it’s going to be launched under the Surface brand doesn’t mean that the company’s new keyboard will only work with Surface hardware. It will most likely be compatible with any and all devices that support Bluetooth keyboards.
It’s too soon to say at this point in time when Microsoft is going to launch this keyboard.
