The company as started selling refurbished “good as new” units of the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. You can get them at a 15 percent discount compared to the full retail price.
The Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 was released in October last year. Microsoft has often provided discounts to entice more people to buy these products and now with refurbished units it will be able to attract customers who were always looking for a better price.
Microsoft explains that each refurbished device goes through a rigorous process which includes cosmetic and hardware quality inspections as well as software updating and diagnostic testing. All refurbished Surface devices get a one-year hardware warranty.
Customers stand to save as much as $405 on the best possible configuration for a Surface Book which includes a 512GB storage drive, a Core i7 processor with 16GB RAM. The base model with a Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage costs $1,499 at retail while the refurbished unit costs $1,274.
