These days when shopping for a phone, customers are no longer just looking at the capabilities of the phone’s camera when it comes to capturing stills. These days video quality is just as important, especially when social media platforms are starting to make video uploads just as vital as photos.
Now we know that the camera on the iPhone 7 is rumored to be upgraded rather significantly, and thanks to Vietnamese website tinhte.vn (via MacRumors), additional information has been leaked. According to the website, one of the features of the iPhone 7’s camera is the ability to record 4K video at 60fps, which if true would be extremely impressive. This would also represent an upgrade over the current iPhones which does 4K at 30fps.
The website also claims to have gotten a hands-on with the phone and according to the report, they claim that the SIM tray is rubber sealed, which corroborates an earlier report by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who said that the iPhone 7 would be water-resistant, and a rubberized SIM tray could be one way of ensuring that.
They also claim that the home button is no longer clickable, which is in line with earlier rumors about a touch sensitive home button that would rely on 3D Touch/Force Touch for feedback. In any case take it with a grain of salt, but with the iPhone 7 being officially unveiled tomorrow, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out the details.
