As you can see in the chart above, iOS 10 is now installed on nearly half of iOS devices. To be more specific, the number shows 48.16%, which in turn also beats out iOS 9 which has since dropped to 47.79%. We guess this is to be expected, although it also represents nearly half of iOS users who have yet to update.
It is possible that some users aren’t updating simply because their devices can’t support the platform. It is also possible that some users are waiting for any bugs to be cleared up and for the platform to become more stable before update. Another possibility is that maybe some users don’t even know that there is an update waiting for them.
In any case we guess this rate of adoption is still pretty good, and we can’t wait to see what those numbers will be able to reach by the end of the year.
