Google’s iOS App Now Lets Users Go Incognito

While some users might prefer iOS as an operating system, they might still prefer using some of Google’s products and services, such as search. If you fall into that camp, there is a good chance you might be using the Google Search app for iOS, and you will be pleased to learn that there is a new update.

In the latest update to the app, Google has introduced the ability for users to go into incognito mode. In case you’re unfamiliar with the feature, Google’s Chrome browser has a similar feature where basically what you view in incognito mode will not be shown in the regular Chrome browser’s history. This might be useful if you are sharing a computer with family members or if you’re at the office.

For users of the iPhone 6s/7 and/or 6s/7 Plus, you might be interested to learn that entering incognito mode can be done by way of 3D Touch. All users have to do is do a hard press on the Google Search app icon. The update has also taken advantage of the Touch ID sensor so that you can re-enter into your incognito session even after the app has been closed, thus ensuring that only you can see what you’ve browsed.

The update is already live so if you head on over to the iTunes App Store, you should be able to get your hands on it.
