SoundCloud is best known as one of few online music platforms where you go to find great covers of music but the company evolved from that earlier this year. It did that by launching a proper music streaming service called SoundCloud Go. The paid service brought another layer of music as well as additional features for those who were willing to pay for them. Like all other services it costs $9.99 per month but for a limited time you can snag a three-month subscription to SoundCloud Go for just $0.99.
SoundCloud Go is competing in a market where you have behemoths like Spotify and Apple Music. It certainly needs to do all it can to attract customers who are willing to pay $9.99 per month, the same amount of money that its rivals charge for a monthly subscription.
To give people a taste of what it has to offer, SoundCloud today launched a week-long promo through which it’s enabling new subscribers to get a three-month subscription to SoundCloud Go for just 99 cents provided that they sign up for the service before September 19th.
At just $0.99, many people who have been on the fence about subscribing to a music streaming service will be enticed enough to give it a chance. Who knows, maybe they might end up sticking with the service and SoundCloud will then continue to get $10 per month for the service from them.
