That being said, it looks like the new phone is official as Samsung has launched the Galaxy Folder 2. However it should be pointed out that the Galaxy Folder 2 has been launched in China meaning that there’s really no telling if it will find its way stateside, but then again we haven’t really seen flip smartphones in the US market all that much, so don’t get your hopes up.
In terms of specs, here’s what we are looking at. The Galaxy Folder 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset. It also features a 3.8-inch WVGA display and will come with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage that is expandable via the microSD card slot. It will also pack a 1,950mAh battery which according to Samsung, has a 318 hour standby time, but then again given its specs it’s not surprising that it isn’t a battery hog.
In the camera department, we are looking at an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, and it will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow preinstalled.
