Facebook’s private photo sharing application called Moments has now been updated with a couple of cool features. The app previously only allowed users to share photos with selected Facebook friends but following the update, users can now share a web link to their private albums with everyone, thus enabling even those not in their Facebook network to take a look at those photos. It has also been updated with support for full-resolution photos.
The web link does more than just enable people outside of a Facebook network to see photos. They will join the album and thus be able to add their own photos to it. This will make Facebook Moments useful for larger events like weddings, birthdays, parties, etc.
This feature works with all new and existing albums in the Facebook Moments app. The “Share Link” option which provides users with a URL can be accessed by tapping on the three dots at the bottom-right of the screen. The link can easily be shared via any social media or messaging app.
Support for full-resolution photos is another great feature that has been added to the updated Facebook Moments app. Previously all photos uploaded via the app were optimized for mobile use but there’s now an option to ensure that photos are uploaded in their original resolution so that the quality is retained.
Facebook Moments is available as a free download for iOS and Android.
