However it seems that not only are tech companies interested in Twitter, but non-tech companies as well. According to a report from Bloomberg, they claim that Disney could be throwing their hat into the ring as well. Apparently the company is currently working with a financial adviser to evaluate a possible bid for Twitter, although unsurprisingly both Twitter and Disney declined to comment on the report.
That being said, Twitter is expecting to sell themselves for a lot of money. Reports claim that the company is seeking at least $30 billion from whoever is planning on buying them, which means that a lot of companies are more or less out of the running, save for huge corporations such as Disney or Google who might have a lot of resources to spare.
We’re not sure what Disney might want with Twitter, but then again Disney has certainly evolved from where they were when they first started, so we guess expanding their offerings and services isn’t really a huge stretch, but until we hear the official bids, do take it with a grain of salt.
