The next major expansion for Destiny was confirmed recently. As expected, Destiny’s next expansion is called Rise of Iron. It can be described as a continuation of The Taken King expansion which was released last year which is why Bungie has made it mandatory for you to own The Taken King before you can play Rise of Iron. The developer today released the Destiny: Rise of Iron launch trailer so you can know what to expect when it lands next week.
Destiny: Rise of Iron adds a new Plaguelands zone to the game aside from new story missions, a new endgame raid, as well as a new three-player Strike mission.
A new enemy faction is being introduced with Rise of Iron. Additional content includes a new level cap, new weapons, and assorted items. There’s going to be a lot of content to explore in this expansion so players will have enough to keep themselves busy for some time.
Destiny: Rise of Iron expansion is going to be released next week, on September 20th to be precise. Bungie is also going to release Destiny: The Collection for PS4 and Xbox One on that very date, this $60 collection features the core game as well as all expansions that have been released ever since it landed on these consoles.
