However it looks like Canon could be planning some kind of major comeback. We have been hearing the rumors that Canon has a new mirrorless planned for launch before the end of the year, and thanks to Japanese website Nokishita (via PetaPixel), alleged photos and specs of the upcoming Canon EOS M5 have been revealed.
As you can see from the photos, it looks like Canon has decided to go with a brand new design for the EOS M5. It’s starting to look more like the designs we’re familiar with from Sony and Fujifilm, which is a good thing. As for its specs, the rumors are claiming that it will feature a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor, dual pixel autofocus, a DIGIC 7 image processing engine, 7fps continuous shooting, Full HD video recording at 60fps, 5-axis image stabilization, NFC, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Also judging from the photos, it looks like we can expect a popup flash. If the rumors are to be believed, Canon will be officially taking the wraps off the EOS M5 on the 15th of September, so check back with us then for the details.
