Back in July, BlackBerry launched their second Android phone, the BlackBerry DTEK50. It doesn’t exactly have the same flashiness to it like the BlackBerry PRIV, but if anything it did show BlackBerry’s commitment to releasing more Android devices. So what’s next? If the rumors are true, the BlackBerry “Argon” DTEK60 could be next.
Now thanks to potential specs that were spotted on BlackBerry’s website, we have a rough idea of what to expect in the DTEK60. For starters, it seems that the display size of the DTEK60 will be bigger than that of the DTEK50. It will sport a 5.5-inch display although the resolution was not revealed, but if BlackBerry is sticking to the DTEK theme, we’re probably looking at Full HD.
There is no mention of the processor, but it seems that BlackBerry could be implementing a fingerprint sensor in the phone, thus increasing its security. We’re also looking at a 21MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera with flash, and it is also expected to run on Android with full access to the Google Play Store.
As for its design, we have no idea what the phone could look like. For all we know it could look like a larger version of the DTEK50. In any case it’s best taken with a grain of salt, but hopefully BlackBerry will have something official for us soon.
