Ubisoft confirmed a few months ago that it’s not going to launch a proper Assassin’s Creed title this year as it’s taking a step back to evaluate the franchise. However, Ubisoft is going to release a package that brings some of the best Assassin’s Creed titles to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Collection has now been confirmed for these consoles and it’s going to be released later this year.
Ubisoft has made a similar move in the past as well which is why its decision to bring this collection to PS4 and Xbox One is not surprising. In 2012, Ubisoft released the Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy as an exclusive for PlayStation 3.
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection features Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood as well as the finale, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Ubisoft does clarify that players will get single player campaigns and the add-on packs only, no multiplayer experience will be included. Enhanced graphics have been promised.
Aside from these three games, the collection also includes Assassin’s Creed Embers and the three-part Assassin’s Creed Lineage short films which go into Ezio’s backstory and also add an epilogue to the trilogy.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 15th, 2016.
