Thanks to benchmark sightings, it appears that Samsung is testing out Android 7.0 Nougat for both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The bad news is that they appear to be testing it on the Exynos versions of the phone, so for those with the Qualcomm chipset, you guys might get the update later. It is possible that both versions are being tested at the same time, but only the Exynos version appeared on the benchmarks.
Unfortunately the testing does not really tell us when the update will be released, but if it is for the Exynos versions, there is a good chance the international unlocked versions will get it first. Usually for those in the US who bought the phone from a carrier, you’ll have to wait for carrier approval as well which is an additional step, so don’t be surprised if your update arrives later than the others.
In any case we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information regarding the update’s release, so check back with us in the future for the details.
