If you are the owner of the Nexus 6 or the Nexus 9 LTE and you’re wondering when you will be able to get your hands on the Android 7.0 Nougat update, it looks like you’ll have to wait a few weeks. This is according to a report from Android Police who has confirmed with Google that the rollout is expected to happen in the next few weeks.
Unfortunately they did not specify any dates so until then, users will just have to remain patient and wait for it. It is a bit of a pity that Google is taking this long to get the update out to its Nexus devices, which are actually supposed to be the first in line to get Android 7.0 (the LG V20 actually beat them to it, although to be fair it was launched with Android 7.0), but we guess better late than never, right?
In fact some have even speculated that maybe Google has given up on the Nexus 6 or Nexus 9 LTE, but rest assured that isn’t the case. We had heard that there were some bugs for the Android 7.0 update for the Nexus 6P, so we wonder if the delay might have anything to do with that. In case we’ll keep our eyes peeled and will let you guys know when the update becomes available. In the meantime you can always sign up for the beta if you’d rather not wait since the experience should be more or less the same at this stage.
